Well, we had a very crazy week this past week, and poor baby Reagan spent her 3rd week of being in this world in the hospital. All is well now, but here is a quick run down of what happened.
Sunday night Reagan decided she was too sleepy to eat, she decided to do this for 12 hours and had a fever. Within hours her fever went from 99 to 102, we called the advise nurse and she told us to go to the ER immediately. I took Reagan and she had blood draw, urine taken and a spinal tap. They said it could be anything from a UTI to meningitis. We were admitted to the hospital and after a few more things that happened were quickly moved to ICU. Reagan had a tube down her nose to her tummy to suction stuff from her tummy, IV with 4 different antibiotics, and cords monitoring her vitals. We had to wait 48 hours for all the test results to come back and in the meantime they started the antibiotics for all the things she could have had.
After 4 days in the hospital and all the tests coming back negative, we found out she had a viral infection somewhere in her little body. We were very blessed to come home with a healthy, happy baby! The doctors say she caught a virus somewhere from someone. We are now on strict orders to stay home and limit visitors for the next few weeks until Reagan gets older and her body gets stronger.
It was a crazy, trying week and we are so glad to be home resting and recovering. Thank you all for your prayers and support!
