This past weekend he picked up an extra 12 hour shift on Saturday, came home that night around 9ish, slept and was up and at 'em by 5:00 am for his normal 48 hour shift the very next day. He got home from his normal shift and started right in working his second job from home doing computer stuff (sorry, I really don't know what he does!). The guy needs to relax and unwind when he gets the chance.
So, last night when we both wanted to go in the hot tub but Parker was not asleep yet, I decided to bundle Parker up and have him sit on the top of the spa in his bouncer seat while Dusty and I relaxed in the hot tub. Dusty looked at me like I was crazy! My goal with having kids is to still do all the things we used to, just find ways to include the kids and make it fun for them...so out to the spa we went! Parker was content in his snow clothes, though looking around trying to figure out what the heck we were doing! We flung up the cover to the spa and the heater had not come on...darn 98 degrees...not a hot relaxing soak we were hoping for. We were going to scratch the spa idea and go back inside but again, I got the crazy look from Dusty when I suggested we do get in, and take Parker. I hopped in first and decided that it was indeed a perfect temperature for him since when I take baths with him, the water is a tad hotter. So in we went.
Parker really did enjoy the spa, he started splashing around and laughing with Dusty. I think we have a water baby on our hands! Hopefully he likes the boat and lake as much as the warm baths and spa!
I love this look from Parker..."Ah, Dad, don't fall asleep!"
