Love Me Some Paci's!

I remember when Parker was 3 days old. He was in a fussy mood all day and nothing I did would comfort him. I finally gave in and let him have a pacifier, something I was much against at the time because of all I had read about nipple confusion. I lied awake most of that night in between feedings praying that he would not reject breast feeding.
I finally got over the fear of nipple confusion when I realized how fond Parker was of his milk source. The pacifier never really stayed in his mouth and over the months became more of a teething toy. After teething the pacifiers got packed away until just recently when Parker starting waking up frequently at night and was not able to sooth himself back to sleep. I put a pacifier in his crib with him at night and when he woke up he found it, held onto it and fell right back to sleep, still not sucking on it.
We have come to the conclusion that some how pacifies sooth him by holding them in his mouth (never sucking though) or hands. Hey! Whatever works!
So, this afternoon when Parker awoke from his nap and we were cuddling in the chair, I found it quite humorous that he had TWO paci's stuffed in his mouth! Must be the cold he is still fighting and needed the extra comfort!
