~Parker and me on My First Mother's Day~
Mother's Day turned out to a weekend long celebration for us! We started out on Saturday with Dusty's family and my mom coming over to our house for dinner. Milly, Ray, Nora, Chad, Edie, Quinn, Casey, Amanda, Noah, Karen and Bryce were all here! Dusty made his incredible "Fire House Chicken" (chicken breasts stuffed with pepper jack cheese and asparagus), Casey made some fabulous scalloped potatoes, my mom made a great green salad, we also had BBQ'ed corn on the cob, and garlic bread and for dessert Edie made a great banana and Vanilla Wafers dish. No one went hungry!
Parker eating corn on the cob for the first time!
After dinner Dusty, Parker, Bryce and Chad went in the hot tub and we played a game!
Dusty had to work on Sunday, so Parker and I took my mom out to brunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then walked around the mall and the Fountains, a fabulous outdoor shopping area new in Roseville. All in all it was a great weekend!
As I was at home later Sunday night rocking my sweet baby to sleep, it was then I realized I was holding the best gift in the world! I only hope to become the mom like my mom is to me! Hope every mom had a great Mother's Day!
